Cargo ships bring 537 containers this week
The Oleander arrived on Monday carrying 36 cars, 12 flatbeds, three boats, two excavators and a fire truck.
It had 165 containers on board, of which 124 were dry containers and 41 refrigerated, and set sail from Bermuda yesterday.
George Butterfield of Meyer Freight said Somers Isles Shipping Ltd.'s MV Somers Isles arrived at 8.30 a.m. yesterday from Fernandina Beach, Florida.
She discharged 204 containers, including seven reefers, four boats and two trash compactors, and was due to return to Florida at 2 p.m. today.
Bermuda International Shipping Ltd.'s MV Elegance Voy is due to arrive at 8.05 a.m. tomorrow from Salem, New Jersey.
She will discharge 168 containers, six flatracks, one tank and two boats before returning to Salem at 8.05 a.m. on Friday.
