Dell on track for $60b revenue

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Dell Inc chief executive Michael Dell said the company is on track to bring in more than $60 billion in revenue this year.

Speaking at the Oracle OpenWorld conference in San Francisco yesterday, Dell said the company has grown roughly 20 percent over the past two quarters and "it looks like we'll probably do that again this quarter as well."

He said the company's new five-inch Streak tablet will be available at Best Buy stores next month. He also showed off a new seven-inch tablet, but provided no other details about it.

Shares of Round Rock, Texas-based Dell fell 2.6 percent to $12.28 in midday Nasdaq trading, on a day that the broader Nasdaq composite index fell nearly one percent.
