Dion Stovell and Delyone Borden have been called back into the Bermuda national cricket squad.

The pair have been brought back into the fold by head coach David Moore, and their inclusion represents a fresh start under a new coach who has already shown a willingness to judge players on the present and not the past.

Both Stovell and Borden have had well-publicised run-ins with the Bermuda Cricket Board, and Stovell at one point had threatened to walk away from the game entirely after a clash with BCB executive member Gary Fray.

Moore though has no interest in what has gone before, only in what happens now that the two have been included in the national set-up.

Of the two, Stovell has been in the best form so far this season, the Southampton Rangers opener has only failed to pass 50 on two occasions in the league this season, and scored 112 against Somerset in his last innings.

"Stovell's been a good performer, I've asked him if he wants his opportunity, he said yes, whereas some blokes have turned it down," said Moore. "But it's the same old, same old, it's now up to him whether he wants to commit to the time and the effort, as I've asked every player.

"So him and Delyone are the major guys in.

"Delyone after a lay off has made himself available for international cricket and from all reports he has been a very good international cricketer in the past, and it's great to have players of his quality making themselves available again."

The pair were part of a casual get together that Moore had with the squad on Monday, and will be at the training session the squad is due to have tomorrow evening.

n Bailey's Bay captain Stephen Outerbridge, and bowler Corey Hill were hauled before a disciplinary committee at their club on Wednesday night.

The two players are believed to have been charged with bringing the club into disrepute following comments they made to the media about St David's' messy withdrawal from this year's Eastern Counties competition.

While no-one involved in the proceedings would comment, Outerbridge and Hill are expected to learn their fates sometime tomorrow.
