Man beaten by gang near school
A gang of men punched and kicked a 53-year-old outside a school in Pembroke.
The man was attacked by Dellwood Middle School in North Street between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
A Police spokesman said: "The assailants punched and kicked the Pembroke man about the head and body before making good their escape on foot.
"The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment by a member of the public, where he is currently on a general ward.
"The suspects are described as young black men; three brown-skinned and the other dark-skinned."
One was 5ft 9in, of medium build with a beard, while another was 5ft 8in tall, of stocky build. A third man is described as 5ft 4in, of slim build, while the fourth was 5ft 9in, of stocky build.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295 0011.
