Clearwater students join Spirit to learn about shipwrecks

Before sailing: The Minister of Education Elvin James with teachers and M3 girls from Clearwater Middle School onboard the Spirit of Bermuda. The students will be assisting in an excavation of 17th century sailing ship in Castle Harbour.
Students at Clearwater Middle School will spend the rest of the week aboard the Spirit of Bermuda learning about shipwrecks.
Twenty M3 girls are now on a five-day trip, assisting in the excavation of a 17th century sailing ship in Castle Harbour.
The girls are the first batch of middle school students to sail on the Spirit this year.
Education Minister El James met with the girls before they left, and he said: "We didn't have such a wonderful programme when we were your age."
