Junior tennis stars honoured

A prizegiving at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium recently marked the successful completion of the fifth Pepperidge Farm Junior Round Robin Series. Pictured above, with Brendan Elliott of Pepperidge Farm, are several of the prizewinners. Some 80 players, aged between eight and 15, took part in the series which ran from September to December. Group winners and runners-up respectively were: Group 6 � Matteo Frazzoni, Catherine Cooke; Group 7 � Yannick Dill, Richard Franklin/Thomas Moniz (tied); Group 8A � Oliver Lewis, Sarah Maybury; Group 8B � James Spence, Jessica Burns; Group 8C � Kyla Bolden, Andrew Forgesson; Group 9A � Clementine Keyes, Christopher Cooper; Group 9B � Lindsay Fisher, Harriet Woodward; Group 10 �Daniel Perez, Thomas Patterson.The next series gets underway in January with registration and testing taking place on January 13 at the Stadium. New players are welcome to join the series and can obtain further information from Rhonda Caza at 236-5376.
