Former CEO of Swiss Reinsurance Co.'s UK operations Tim Carroll has joined Lloyd's of London insurer Canopius Managing Agents Ltd. as underwriting director.

Mr. Carroll, a former chairman of the International Underwriting Association, joins Canopius from Swiss Re, where he was responsible for both life and non-life business in the UK, Ireland and Africa.

Canopius has a Bermuda unit, which is based on Par-la-Ville Road.
