CADA issues drinks driving reminder

The Centre for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention, CADA, would like to remind the public not to drink and drive this holiday season.

CADA Chairman Anthony Santucci said: "I am making this statement today to save a life. We know approximately 70 percent of the deaths on Bermuda's roads involve alcohol or drugs. Our message is simple, don't drink and drive. There are alternatives in place for people to get home safely who have been out drinking."

Mr. Santucci explained CADA'S 'Let Us Drive' service will be operating over the holidays every Friday night and also on New Year's Eve outside of the LOM Building on Reid Street from 3.15 to 3.45 a.m. The service is free to passengers.
