CableVision viewers in Paget and parts of Warwick suffered a service outage for several hours yesterday after a truck hit cables. The incident happened near Modern Mart on South Road, Paget, around 3 p.m.

Terry Roberson, general manager of Bermuda CableVision, described it as a "hit-and-run incident with a large over-loaded truck."

Service was said to be back up and running by 8.40 p.m and CableVision apologised to customers for the inconvenience.
