A knife fight sent one man to hospital early this morning.

Police received a report of a disturbance at a residence on Gospel Lane, Pembroke, at about 12.20am.

A police spokesman said: “Upon arrival police confirmed there was an altercation involving two men, each in possession of a bladed article.

“Both of them were subsequently arrested, with one of them having to be conveyed to hospital via ambulance for treatment to injuries sustained to his right hand during the altercation.”

The spokesman said that the injured man was treated for his injuries and discharged.

He added: “Both men were processed into police custody and investigations into this incident continue.”
