St. Kitt's and Nevis have all but ended Bermuda's hopes of reaching the Concacaf Under-17 Football Championships with a 3-2 win last night in Trinidad and Tobago.

The loss puts a severe dent in the Island's chances of grabbing second place and automatic qualification from the group with both Cuba and hosts Trinidad level on three points and with vastly superior goal differences.

The pair played each other in the second match of the double header last night.

Bermuda lost their opening game 3-1 against powerhouse Cuba in a mistake-laden match and now face another power, Trinidad, in their third and final group game tomorrow evening, knowing only a win by a hefty margin would give them an outside chance of going through.

The top two finishers along with the best third place team will qualify for next year's 12-nation Championships.

All games are being played at the Marvin Lee Stadium in Macoya, Trinidad, where Bermuda's senior national team famously toppled the Soca Warriors 2-1 in the World Cup qualifiers in 2008.

The Under-17s, who thrashed Bahamas 5-2 on aggregate in the previous round, return to the Island on Monday.
