A 54-year-old woman had three bags snatched by a mugger on a motorcycle as she walked in Smith's on Tuesday morning.

Her assailant approached her from behind at about 9.30 a.m. on Knapton Hill near the junction with Idle Acres Road. He took the bags, which contained cash and personal items, before driving off to the west on his black motorcycle..

The woman, from Pembroke, was not injured. The mugger was wearing a white T-shirt and a black helmet.
