Healthy lunch box menu
The healthy lunch box menu is a weekly feature of Body & Soul in an effort to give parents an easy method of including healthy foods and adequate nutrition in their children's lunches. The Healthy Schools Coordinator and Government nutritionists have sanctioned the menus.

Shopping list
1 cup diced chicken
1 cup string beans
1 ½ cup whole grain noodles
1 cup hummus
2 cups dark leaf greens
5 carrots
3 oranges
3 bananas
16 mutigrain crackers
2 whole grain rolls
2 8oz soy milk
3 wedges Laughing Cow cheese
Recipe: Chicken noodle soup
Boil chicken, with three carrots and string beans. Sauté in 2 tsp olive oil a clove of garlic with ¼ cup chopped onion, some parsley and thyme to taste. Add sauteed mixture to the broth and bring to boil over medium heat. Stir in noodles and cook for 10 minutes or until tender.

1 banana
