AIDS babies receive the healing power of love
Healing babies with the power of love is what a group of natural healers are doing in Africa for AIDS orphans.
Trained in the Sacred Merkaba techniques, the healers decided to offer their services after learning that healthcare workers in the region were unable to cope with the numbers of infants requiring care.
Bermudian Reuben Bean is a Sacred Merkaba healer and is committed to the group project. While he has not visited the babies yet, he said he will do so. The infants are in KwaZulu-Natal an area in South Africa hard hit by the AIDS epidemic.
Statistics last year showed that 316 people died every day in the province from AIDS and an estimated 40 percent of children in the province were born with the disease. In fact AIDS is so rampant in the area that back in 2001 there were reports of AIDS babies thrown away in dumps.
The Sacred Merkaba healers have called their project AIDS Babies and explain the scope of the problem in their literature. "An enormous burden is being placed on the health, welfare and education sectors resulting in immense suffering for almost half a million babies, toddlers and little children," it says.
The group has been working gently with the babies using their unique healing techniques to provide love and comfort to them. In May 2005, five of the healers volunteered to move to the Nhlangwini area of KwaZulu-Natal to concentrate their efforts and continue the free healing treatments to the AIDS orphans.
In doing so the volunteers not only left their jobs, friends and families, but also sold their homes and possessions to help fund the project.
Here in Bermuda Mr. Bean accepts teddy bears and monetary donations for any healing work he is asked to do. All the funds and the bears are sent to the AIDS Babies project in KwaZulu-Natal, where he stressed they do make a positive difference for the infants.
In the project each baby that receives an energy treatment is also given a teddy bear. It is felt that the cuddly toy soothes the baby when human touch is not at hand.
Sacred Merkaba healing techniques use the natural energies of the universe. Healers and teachers using this modality explain that all life is based on electro-magnetic energies at the sub-atomic level.
They hold that focusing those energies that contain what they call "unconditional magnetic love" and " unceasing electric light" in a directional manner enables them to heal people at the source of their discomfort.
While the healers believe that healing is possible, they do not claim to have cured any of the babies.
According to Mr. Bean the work being done by the group is so important and has made such a positive impact on the community that the Prince in the region, Prince Dlamini of the Zulu nation, asked the group to expand their work to the cover all 19 regions in his jurisdiction and has provided some ancient sacred land for the building of a healing clinic and training centre.
