Axis Specialty Finance, a unit of Bermuda-based Axis Capital Holdings, is issuing $500 million in notes.

The specialty lines insurance and treaty reinsurance provider is selling 5.87 percent senior notes maturing in 2020.

The joint bookrunning managers for the debt sale are Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank Securities and Wells Fargo Securities. The notes are guaranteed by Axis Capital Holdings.
