Vibe Magazine looking for models
Aspiring models have the chance to be featured in a photo shoot in Vibe magazine.
Style Bermuda will hold a model casting session tomorrow at the Newstead Belmont Hills Resort & Spa.
The casting is being hosted by Vibe's Fashion Director, Memsor Kamarake, and Style Bermuda's Shiona Turini.
The winning male or female model will be flown to New York to participate in an upcoming photo shoot for Vibe Magazine; as well as be featured on Vibe.com.
With a circulation of over 800,000 subscribers, Vibe Magazine is described as the leading urban fashion, lifestyle and music publication in the US. Beyonce, Kanye West and models Iman, Tyra Banks, Chanel Iman, Kimora Lee and Alek Wek have all appeared on its cover.
"I'm proud to be able to offer aspiring Bermudian models an opportunity such as this.
"Style Bermuda is committed to opening as many doors as possible for Bermudians interested in fashion, and there is a huge focus on modelling in Bermuda. It was only natural for us to take that next step and do whatever we can to help someone achieve their dreams," said Ms Turini. "Any Bermudian who has ever dreamed of being a model owes it to themselves to show up and do their best. It's worth a shot — opportunities like this do not come to our island often."
The casting is open to male and females between the ages of 14-30.
To pre-register for the casting, interested participants can download an application from www.stylebermuda.com and review eligibility requirements. Space is extremely limited, so applicants are strongly encouraged to pre-register to guarantee their spot.
