Man bailed on cocaine, cannabis charges

A Southampton man was bailed in Magistrates’ Court this morning after he denied possessing drugs with intent to supply.
James Waldron-Smith, 29, pleaded not guilty to possessing more than 5g of cocaine and 50g of cannabis, both with intent to supply.
The offences allegedly occurred in Devonshire on October 7, 2014.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo granted bail at $5,000 with one like surety and a trial date was set for April 30.
A 39-year-old Sandys man pleaded guilty to possessing 2.5g of cannabis when he also appeared in court this morning.
Jeremiah Rumley admitted the offence, which occurred in Sandys on September 15 last year.
Mr Tokunbo ordered a social inquiry report and a drug assessment and adjourned sentencing to March 6.
