Andre Curtis tells judge he is still seeking a lawyer

The Premier's former campaign manager Andre Curtis has yet to find a lawyer to represent him on fraud charges.

Curtis, 48, is currently awaiting trial on charges that he carried on investment business Harvest Investment Holdings without a licence, and provided misleading statements.

Curtis denies the allegations but still has no lawyer despite trying to acquire Charles Richardson through Legal Aid.

His lack of representation has repeatedly caused his pending Supreme Court trial to be delayed.

Last Friday, in court, Curtis said: "I have a letter from Legal Aid. I have spoken to them three times this week and I am on it. I have spoken to the lawyer. I have contacted the relevant people."

His trial is due to start August 9.

Puisne Judge Carlisle Greaves said: "This is simple information that you need to get. You should have this information to them by Tuesday next week.

"They will meet on Thursday and you should see me on Friday with some good news. Every time you look around, you should see me next to you as your shadow a very good looking shadow."

Curtis is due to appear back in court on Friday, July 23.
