P.c. Kenneth Bartrum had his passport stolen while he was in St. Lucia leading a group of local Duke of Edinburgh gold award participants.

The expedition has been organised by the Caribbean Award Scheme Council.

Alan Brown, the Bermuda Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme chairman, said two bags were taken from where the group was staying.

P.c. Bartrum's passport was in one of the stolen bags and nothing else of any significance was taken, said Mr. Brown.

The Bermuda group was not specifically targeted, he added, and St. Lucia Police are investigating the incident.
