Mechanical problems prevented the bridge from closing last Friday, causing heavy traffic jams.

But a Government statement said yesterday that the problem had been rectified.

The Ministry also advised Cup Match boaters that the Swing Bridge in St.

George's will open every 15 minutes -- between 7.30 a.m. and 6.45 p.m. -- during both days of Cup Match.

Clearwater Beach and Daniel's Head camp grounds will be open for the Cup Match holiday.

Bermuda Land Development Company spokesman Don Grearson said: "The 36 acre Clearwater site provides parking facilities, bathrooms and a restaurant.

"Daniel's Head proved to be one of the most popular camping grounds last year and I have all hopes it will be again.'' For more information on Cup Match camping grounds and other activities call the Parks Department on 236-4201.
