Church Growth Conference in Bermuda in November.

Confirmed as speakers for the conference at Marriott's Castle Harbour Resort are Dr. David Yonggi Cho, senior pastor of the world's largest church, and Dr.

Samuel G. Hines, senior pastor of the Third Street Church of God in Washington, DC.

The conference is sponsored by the Rev. Dr. Vernon G. Lambe of the First Church of God Ministries in Bermuda.

In June Dr. Lambe visited Dr. Cho's Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul, which has more than 700,000 members. Dr. Lambe spoke to 38,000 people in the Yoido Church in the Korean capital during his stay.

He had met Dr. Cho at a previous conference and was invited to attend a meeting of the church. Dr. Lambe has now returned the invitation and Dr. Cho will make his first visit to Bermuda for the Church Growth Conference.

Dr. Cho is also the author of a number of books including "More Than Numbers,'' "The Fourth Dimension'' and many books on prayer and faith.

Renowned bibliologist Dr. Hines will be making a welcome return to Bermuda. He is a native Jamaican who has served on numerous national and international boards and commissions.

Dr. Lambe said: "Our vision is to provide a meeting of retreat and renewal for church leaders from all around the world, in Bermuda. We are hoping to facilitate for church renewal and vision direction.

"Dr. Cho's arrival in Bermuda will expose the Asian community and many other world travellers to our Island resort. They will be coming for spiritual as well as physical renewal.'' There will be night sessions as well as afternoon conferences where Dr. Cho will speak on "Vision Dynamics for Church Growth'' and Dr. Hines will talk on "Preaching from the Sacred Text in the Secular Age'' and "The Authority in the Pulpit and the Autonomy in the Pew.''
