The liner left St. George's on Monday evening and was about 300 miles out to sea heading towards Madeira when the accident happened last night.
Harbour Radio was informed of the turnaround at about 6 p.m. yesterday. The vessel is expected to arrive back in Bermuda waters early this afternoon and will moor at Five Fathom Hold where the patient will be disembarked by pilot rescue boat.
