Man fined for flick knife

David Durham, 45, of Ord Road, was fined $100 at Magistrates' Court after admitting possessing a prohibited weapon.Sgt. Peter Giles, prosecuting, said Police found the knife on Durham after stopping him in Reid Street at about 6.45 p.m.

Sgt. Peter Giles, prosecuting, said Police found the knife on Durham after stopping him in Reid Street at about 6.45 p.m. on July 25.
Sgt. Giles said Durham told Police he needed the knife for cutting fruit.
Durham said yesterday: "I use the knife for my job.''
