with importing cocaine -- has been postponed indefinitely after Hurricane Georges wreaked havoc on the island.
Tucker, 30, who used to manage the Odyssey nightclub on Front Street, was picked up in a Police swoop in St. Maarten in June. Narcotics officers allegedly discovered four pounds of cocaine in the raid.
His trial began last Wednesday but was promptly adjourned for five days following defence attorney allegations that Police failed to follow proper procedure when making the arrest.
But on Monday, the day the trial was to resume, the island was brought to a standstill when Hurricane Georges struck, cutting down power lines and damaging buildings.
Tucker was remanded in custody until a new hearing date can be set.
