Fast Forward Freight Squash Club Championships on the weekend, dismissing opponent Ryan Bell in three straight games.

Sherratt dominated from the beginning, surging into a 5-0 lead in each game before Bell could get a point. Much of the time, Bell appeared to be playing in pain, having suffered an injury to his big toe in his semi-final win over Mel Caines. But Sherratt played virtually error-free squash, forcing play with a good mix of attacking shots as he raced to a 9-4, 9-2, 9-3 victory.

The ladies' final was also decided in three games with favourite Janine Keeble outplaying veteran Denise Kyme 9-5, 9-2, 9-2 in a repeat of last year's final.

John Stout emulated his victory in the men's division one consolation by going straight back on court to win the men's veterans final over Bob Stewart 9-1, 9-4, 9-4.
