The document lays down some far reaching proposals which, in the words of one Minister "will take us forward to the next century''. Editorial: Page 4 Although it is the only item on the agenda, Senators could be in for a marathon session. When the same subject was debated in the House of Assembly last Friday MPs were in deep discussion well into the night.

CASH TAKEN FROM YACHT CRM Cash taken from yacht Cash was stolen by a thief who boarded the yacht Wildflower , which was moored at Somers Wharf, St. George's early yesterday.

Crew were awoken around 4 a.m. by the sound of someone searching the vessel, but the thief made off. He is described as having light-brown skin, is five feet nine inches tall and was wearing a light coloured top.

GENERATOR STOLEN CRM Generator stolen Police are probing a series of thefts which took place in Devonshire over the weekend.

Thieves stole an emergency generator from Orange Valley school sometime over the weekend.

And a gold-coloured watch, Nike trainers and cash were taken from a property on North Shore Road, Devonshire on Sunday.

In a separate incident, cases of liquor were taken from the Devonshire Colts storeroom on Union Street, Hamilton, on Sunday.

HOTEL ROOMS BURGLED CRM Hotel rooms burgled Two guest rooms at the Reefs in South Shore Road, Southampton, were broken into yesterday.

In the first incident, a couple had retired to bed at 11.30 p.m. on Monday, but awoke at 3.30 a.m. to see a man standing on the balcony. He then jumped 30 feet to the ground.

The couple discovered a wallet, cash, travellers cheques and credit cards were stolen.

And a room below was also raided, with thieves taking cash, credit cards, camera and personal items.

POLICE ISSUE APPEAL POL Police issue appeal Police are appealing for the owner of a black canvas case containing several CDs to come forward and claim their property.

The bag was found on Duke of Clarence Street on Saturday morning by a member of the public who then handed it in to the Police.

Anyone who has lost the bag should contact St. George's Police Station on 297-1122.
