Mitch hauls up another whopper!
big one.
Yesterday, at his favourite fishing hole, he pulled up a 102-pound rockfish.
It was the third time in 18 months he has hauled in such a specimen.
Mr. Rawlins says his fishing spot is off the rocks east of John Smith's Bay in Smith's. But he won't be more specific.
Yesterday's catch was his biggest yet.
As he was driving the fish into town, its weight caused the metal basket on the back of his motorbike to sag.
Mr. Rawlins' fishing technique appears simple, but requires patience and know-how. Each catch is preceded by a lot of watching and luring at the site.
He has used a handline to haul in each of his big catches.
When asked yesterday what he was going to do with the new fish, he replied: "Cut him up and eat him.'' THE BIG ONE -- Firefighter Mr. Minch Rawlins with his 102-pound rockfish yesterday.
