Tiffany Butterfield, of Horseshoe Road pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to charges of use of offensive words.

Butterfield was with a group of youths outside the number seven dock earlier this month when officers heard her shouting.

The officers reported that Butterfield shouted profanity.

When officers approached the group Butterfield's friends attempted to calm her down and pull her away.

But after a while when the group passed the officers a second time Butterfield was still shouting obscenities at the top of her lungs.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner said that it did not appear that Butterfield cared about what had happened.

"Of course I care,'' Butterfield said.

Mr. Warner said: "It doesn't appear so to me.'' When Mr. Warner asked if her parents were present, Butterfield's mother stood and addressed the court.

"We have been working with Tiffany,'' she said. "I'm hoping that the weekend she just spent in Co-ed had some effect on her.'' "A fine is not going to help you,'' Mr. Warner said. "I am ordering you into the care of your mother, if you weren't before.'' A social inquiry was ordered and Butterfield was bailed at $800.
