of fines. The long-time public drinker with a criminal record dating back to the 1960s appeared before Acting Senior Magistrate Edward King. Mr. King jailed Anderson for 14 days for not paying a $100 balance on a $300 fine since December. He must also return to Court on Wednesday for trial for allegedly stealing a pair of sunglasses from Robertson's and a carrot from the Carriage House Restaurant. He will also be sentenced then for drinking in public.

"I'm had so much liquor over the last few days I don't even want to smell any,'' he said. "As far as the carrot, well I was the first janitor down there. If they want it I can give it back.''
