New symbol for Challenger
for trading on the NASDAQ National Market System.
The shares will trade under the symbol ICOMF. Challenger's shares have been traded on the NASDAQ since 1982, most recently in the Small Capitalisation category under the symbol CSTIF.
The new symbol is intended to reflect the company's change of business into telecommunications.
The company recently acquired Intelect, Inc. and signed a definitive letter of intent for the sale of its firearms unit, Savage Corp., to Savage CEO Mr. Ron Coburn.
Intelect, headquartered in Texas, provides multi-media communications systems focused on delivering integrated voice, data and video solutions and has installed systems managing commercial and military airspace in more than 30 countries.
Seventeen NASDAQ firms are currently posted as "making a market'' in Challenger common shares.
