Cruise ship passengers plead guilty to possessing cannabis

Three passengers aboard the cruise ship Meridian were yesterday hit in the wallet after pleading guilty in Magistrates' Court to possession of cannabis.
Linda Harrington, 48, of Philadelphia, was fined $650 by Senior Magistrate Will Francis for possession of 6.7 grams of the drug.
Mr. Francis was told that Harrington, a dietary aide, was searched by Customs at King's Wharf in Dockyard on Tuesday and was found to be in possession of cannabis.
Brenda Parks, 45, also of Philadelphia, was searched in her cabin on the same day and found to have 3.42 grams of cannabis. Mr. Francis fined the telephone operator $350. Lorrie Ann Kaluhigkalani, 36, of New Jersey, also pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and was fined $250.
