Maurine Cooper is `Mad about Colour' today at the Gallery

Pictured left is a detail from celebrated English landscape painter, John Turner's "Grand Canal, Venice,'' one of the works featured in today's Lunch Time Slide Lecture at the Bermuda National Gallery.

Mrs. Maurine Cooper has entitled this latest in her popular series of talks, "Mad About Colour.'' Other artists featured will include Paul Gaugin, 19th century post-Impressionist, best known for his series of Tahitian paintings, and his fellow Frenchman, 20th century giant, Henri Matisse. Turner, Gaugin and Matisse are renowned as brilliant colourists.

Space is limited, but tickets at $5 ($10 non-members) are available at the door.

The lectures commence at 12.30 p.m. and will last for 45 minutes. As usual, people may bring lunches with them.
