on course to retain his World One-Armed Golf Championship title.
Under breezy conditions at the Ballater Golf Course, Talbot fired a 10-over-par 77 to win the stroke play portion of the tournament by two strokes over Olivier Lecocq of France. He also captured the Thompson Long Driving Cup with a drive of 221 yards using a three-wood. Talbot's two-round total of 151 means that he goes into tomorrow's opening match play round as the top seed among the 16 remaining competitors.
Twenty-year-old Lecocq has emerged as the surprise of the tournament. He started the day two strokes behind the leader following an opening round 76 and continued his fine play as he matched Talbot's second round score of 77 on the par-67 course.
