BSX breaks record

broke its all-time high by more than 11 points to end at 1,744.99, gaining 16.3 points over Monday's close on a volume of 52,834 shares. The BSX last broke a record in May of 1998. Both the Banks of Bermuda and Butterfield traded, with the Bank of Bermuda unchanged at $40 and the Bank of Butterfield gaining 40 cents to $16.40.
In insurance, Argus gained for the second day running to close up one half at $17.50, while BF&M gained three quarters to $6.75.
Bermuda Aviation Services gained $1 to $7, while BELCO inched up a quarter to $19.50. The only bond issue to change hands was the Bermuda Telephone Company's, remaining unchanged at $95.50.
