following a single vehicle accident on Blue Hole Hill in Hamilton Parish.

The accident occurred around 3.20 p.m. when the rider of the livery cycle lost control as he attempted to negotiate a left-hand curve. As a result of the accident the 51-year-old rider sustained minor injuries. His 48-year-old passenger however fared worse, suffering a fractured hip.

Later Monday afternoon Police responded to an accident on South Road in Paget.

A west-bound Suzuki motorcycle collided with a Suzuki hatchback as it emerged from Southcourt Avenue around 4.30 p.m. The 36-year-old rider sustained a sprained ankle and extensive damage to her cycle. The driver of the car was not injured.

Police enquiries are continuing.
