The Fairmont Hamilton Princess' Colony Pub will stay open for an extra month due to the hotel rescheduling renovations.
The pub was to permanently close at the end of March to increase the hotel lobby's size, but will now stay open until the end of April and possibly into May.
Renovations of 100 bedrooms are taking longer than expected, meaning the pub's demolition is delayed, said hotel vice-president Michael Kaile.
"There is even more work than we calculated for in the rooms and it's going to take a bit longer than we thought it would,'' he said.
"We said the Colony would shut at the end of March, but we now know for sure that it will be open in April. Will it be open in May? That's possible.''
