Global Energy `enhancements' on display at insurance market
The expanded team of Zurich Global Energy Ltd. was presented to the Bermuda insurance market last night during a reception at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.
They were led by president, Robert C. Golden, who stated: "This event is an excellent opportunity to highlight the enhancements Global Energy has made to ensure that we meet the needs of clients in Bermuda and beyond.
"The staffing in Bermuda of Global Energy underwriting experts from all lines of business, as well as the heads of claims and financial teams, demonstrates the importance Global Energy places on the Bermuda market within the scope of its global operation.'' Zurich Global Energy's agenda last night included opening remarks by Mr.
Golden and an introduction of a new dedicated global claims manager and expert underwriters specialising in the exploration and production, onshore property casualty lines of business.
Invited guests reviewed the latest advances in Global Energy's GE ACT technology, an underwriting account collaboration tool designed to ensure that clients are provided with efficient and comprehensive support for risk solutions.
Also on display was a model of the new Zurich Centre Building at the Waterfront at Pitts Bay, which is the future home of Zurich Global Energy, Centre Re Solutions and other Zurich offices in Bermuda.
Formed in 1995, Global Energy was the first global business unit created by the Zurich Group. It was established specifically to provide energy companies with large limit, high capacity, global risk programmes.
