in the House of Assembly of amendments to the Companies Act.

BIBA chairman Tom Davis said the legislation that was debated in Parliament on Monday was brought about because of the hard work of their Companies Act Amendments Committee that Tom Conyers, senior Partner at Gray and Kempe, chaired.

The committee was composed of people from the private sector, the Ministry of Finance, the Attorney General's chambers, the Registrar of Companies and the Bermuda Monetary Authority.

Mr. Davis said that BIBA appreciated the time and effort that committee members spent in making sure the Companies' Act was in synch with developments in the industry.
