The man, who cannot be named, appeared in Supreme Court yesterday and, after denying the charge, pleaded guilty.

"I have made a mistake here -- I plead guilty to the charge of sexual assault,'' he told Chief Justice Austin Ward.

The offence took place between January 1 and May 7 this year.

The man was granted bail until January 5 pending a social inquiry report.
