services for business travellers with the launch of the MasterCard BusinessCard programme.

The new credit card is denominated in US dollars and the holder is automatically eligible for a variety of services, the bank said. The services include travel accident insurance, car rental collision/damage waiver insurance, various travel assistance services, emergency services and Butterfield's CardLine service.

The programme also offers MasterPhone service, which allows users to charge long distance calls to the card.

The bank said that the card also features monthly management reports that identify, control and consolidate company expenses. The reports provide complete financial analysis of individual employee expenses, or at the company or cost centre level.

The bank will offer both a standard and an enhanced business card programme.

The enhanced programme will provide supplementary medical insurance coverage and additional company reports.

"MasterCard BusinessCard is specifically designed to meet the needs of the business traveller,'' said Mr. Colin Furr, executive vice president of banking. "This new product offers an excellent business management opportunity, making the tracking and recording of business expenses simpler.''
