`Down to earth' Prince Michael tours Museum
of Kent's tour of the museum a success.
Prince Michael, who is the patron of the museum, yesterday met its chairman Mr. Paul Leseur and visited the facilities in Dockyard.
Dr. Harris told The Royal Gazette that Prince Michael was very interested in the underwater archeological research being conducted by the museum, "especially the hull of the wreck Santa Lucia ''.
Dr. Harris said Prince Michael was also interested in the historic Commissioner's House.
Last night Prince Michael was guest of honour at a gala dinner to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Bermuda Maritime Museum.
Dr. Harris said a crowd of 300 was expected for the dinner which was to be held in the Clocktower Building of the Royal Naval Dockyard.
"Prince Michael is down to earth and charming and he has been enjoying his visit to Bermuda,'' Dr. Harris added.
Prince Michael was scheduled to leave Bermuda today to return to England via New York.
