recommendations by the Bermuda Cricket Board of Control are accepted by affiliates at a meeting scheduled to take place tonight at Warwick Workmen's Club.

The Royal Gazette understands that the Board plan to operate two divisions on a Sunday, with the Premier League becoming a "Super Eight'' division and the remaining teams operating in a nine-club first division.

The Board reportedly intend to have the entire league season concluded by August 20.

The format of play for the season would be similar to last year.

However, a major difference would involve the duration of matches which could be extended. Under the proposal, games would start at 11 a.m. and enter into 20 overs at 6.30 p.m.

Last season play began at noon with the last 20 overs taking effect at 6.30 p.m.

Also it is understood that the Board has suggested that in the Super Eight division the team batting first would be eligible to use a maximum of 60 overs while the team batting second would have only 50.

A relegation system between the two divisions is expected to be adopted to stimulate competition.
