joked if the defendant couldn't get to the mike on time, the public would suffer.
Magistrates' Court heard that Calvert (Kelly) Zuill, was on his way to host his 6 a.m. ZBM show on October 17, when he was clocked by Police travelling at 63 kph -- the legal limit is 35 kph.
Zuill, of Southampton, was pulled over and charged.
Mr. King laughed: "The public will suffer so badly if I stop him. They will want my head.'' But he added that a disqualification was not mandatory for the offence and fined Zuill instead.
Zuill was named Best Gospel Announcer of the Year in 1995 by the International Gospel Announcers Award Conference in Memphis, Tennessee.
