a teenager who escaped from prison on Saturday.

Police began searching for 15-year-old Jamal Nesbitt after he escaped from the Co-ed Facility in St. George's at noon on Saturday.

An off-duty Prison officer spotted Nesbitt on Coney Island in Hamilton Parish and called the Police.

Nesbitt tried to escape by jumping into the water, but he was soon apprehended and returned to prison.

It was the second time Nesbitt broke free this month.

On June 6, he and another inmate escaped through an open door when the sole night duty officer came to investigate a flood.

Prison officials refused to comment on the method of escape this time.
