A newly discovered American percussionist duo with a difference will be performing in Bermuda this weekend.

Drummers 2 Deep will be beating the plastic "drums'' which landed them a recording contract and spots on a Mariah Carey video and the new Sharon Stone movie Sliver.

The New York-based brothers were also featured in a recent 501 Levi jeans commercial, after having been discovered by director Spike Lee.

They are set to appear at the Clayhouse Inn Friday during Khalfani productions' Entertainment Posse.

The brothers, who also sing, could not afford drums while growing up in New York so they used plastic buckets instead.

The unique sounds they produced caught the attention of entertainment executives and they are now on the road to stardom.

HBO comedians James Hannah, Earthquake and Chris Charles -- plus a mystery guest -- will also be performing during the show.

Tickets are $20 ($23 at the door) and available at 27th Century Boutique, Sound Stage, Criss Cross records and Filter Queen BDA across from Magistrates Court.
