The bank's stock jumped 50 cents to close at $20.50 on volume of 4,935 while the Index closed at 1,089.34 -- up 10.71.

The banks trade was the only movement of any stock listed on the Exchange although trading was heavy. Trading at unchanged prices were: Bermuda Press (Holdings), whose stock closed at $9.50, with a volume of 1,500; Long Botham Boats Company, $8.75, 600; and Bermuda Fire & Marine Insurance, five cents, 6,300.
