A visitor from California was riding her livery cycle on St. Anne's Road on Friday when a man pulled up behind her on another cycle and lifted her handbag from the basket at the rear, Police said.

The woman chased the man but could not keep up and fell off her cycle, suffering minor road rash.

An unidentified man in a white station wagon also chased the man on Middle Road, but could not catch him.

The man, who was riding a red cycle, is described as medium brown-skinned, in his 20s, and between five feet ten inches and six feet one inch tall. He had a thin build and wore sunglasses.

The bag contained a camera, credit cards, and other personal items.
