yesterday as sailors Peter Bromby and Lee White moved up into joint third place in the Star class event.

A third place finish in yesterday's first race followed by an eighth in the second left the veterans on 25 points after four of the scheduled 12 races, level with the Italian duo Pietro D'Ali and Ferdinando Colaninno.

They are just two points adrift of second-placed Australians Colin Beashel and David Giles and six off the leaders and defending Olympic champions Torben Grael and Marcelo Ferreira of Brazil.

The situation could have been even better if the pair had not dropped back from second to eighth place in the latter stages of yesterday's second race.
