Douglas, who recently decided to opt out of the upcoming Heritage Classic, finished with a time of 21:13, behind first-place finisher Robson da Silva of Brazil, who completed the event in 20:43.
In second place was Floyd Heard of the Santa Monica Track Club with a time of 20:49 and Leroy Burrell, also of the Santa Monica Track Club, finished in third place in 20:66. Sidney Telles of Brazil, with a time of 20:74, was a notch above Douglas for fourth spot. Eight ran.
Douglas will now get ready for a pair of track meets in British Columbia, Canada. The first is the Harry Jerome meet next Monday and then another event scheduled for June 2. After that he heads for Europe to tackle the Grand Prix circuit.
