to clean-up the Washington Lane eatery before it can re-open.

The Beergarden's Anthony White earlier told The Royal Gazette the restaurant was to re-open by yesterday, but it is now expected to re-open on Thursday.

Mr. White said inspectors had recommended they close the place down and give the place "a good general cleaning.'' Chief environmental health officer Estlyn Harvey confirmed inspectors had closed down the restaurant for lack of general cleanliness.

"Their licence has been suspended until such a time as they meet our requirements,'' she told The Royal Gazette .
